Solution 1: Update HyperX Cloud 2 Mic Windows 10 Drivers. In the first place, the most feasible method you can turn to is to download the up-to-date HX microphone driver for Windows 10. In a large sense, HyperX cloud 2 mic not working on games like Fortine or Overwatch won’t come to you again.
This next-generation headset generates virtual 7.1 surround sound1 with distance and depth to enhance your gaming, movie or music experience. Pinpoint your opponents’ location in the game and strike before he sees you coming. It’s hardware driven and plug and play, with no driver needed.
HyperX Cloud II has a digitally enhanced, noise-cancelling microphone with automatic gain control functionality and echo cancellation enabled through the USB sound card. The result is clearer voice quality and reduced background noise, with voice volume automatically increasing as in-game sound gets louder, to optimize team communication and in-game chat in intense battles. HyperX Cloud II is certified by TeamSpeak and optimized for Skype and other leading chat programs.
HyperX Cloud II is Hi-Fi capable, with 53mm drivers for superior audio performance and rich sound quality with crystal-clear low, mid and high tones and enhanced bass via the sound card.
Pro-gaming optimized, HyperX Cloud II is USB-powered for PCs and Macs and 3.5mm stereo-compatible for PS4 and Xbox One2 . Its closed cup design helps with noise cancellation in gaming tournaments and other loud environments so players can obliterate the enemy in peace.
HyperX Cloud II comes in three new colors — Gun Metal, Pink and Red — and is covered by a two-year warranty and free technical support.
Ok got a hold of these. Audio is working for me with USB plugged in with 7.1 lit up on the control.
*Have you set the device as default in playback and recording control panels?
*Is the device showing up in device manager?
I have the device. Here are the problems defining statement:
1/ This is a headset which support both USB plug or audio 3.5mm jack. I only test with USB connection.
2/ There is no driver available. This is a headset with built in soundcard, it is capable of plug in and used right away.
3/ Playback device, Recording device are set at correct default. Audio is working perfectly, but microphone did not register any sound.
3a/ Disable non-default device will not solve this problem.
4/ This seems to be the key problem. Headset Microphone sound is at 0.0 dB. The headset comes with controller available only with USB connector. However, it is not working, adjusting micro volume do not change these slider. (It is however, still giving *double beep* signal to let the user know if max/min sound are reached)
4b/ Adjusting microphone volume sliders do not work with mouse. It is locked there.
Conclusion: There are problems, conflicts between Windows 10 and HyperX Cloud II headset regards microphone volume slider. This however, is not applicable to playback device.
Hope Microsoft Engineer can put out a fix ASAP.
